March 8th, International Women’s Day [IWD2020], a day to celebrate the marvellous contribution and achievements of women across the globe, under the theme #EachforEqual.

According to #WEForum, “an equal world is an enabled world” and every single one of us has our part to play in bringing bout gender equality. Whilst we celebrate International Women’s Day focusing on the difference that women around the globe are making, 2040 Exchange wants to shed some light on the difference women are making in the lives of their daughters. The heroines raising the next generation of self-confident, daring and bold women that will empower and support each other.

We caught up with two #girlmoms and this is what they had to say about making their girls understand that they do matter; how they empower their minds and support their creativity.

What a time to be alive?

We live in a world where the emphasis is placed on women empowerment and gender equality. If we continue to raise bold, confident and ambitious girls, we can be assured that the future generation of women will be unstoppable and will create a meaningful impact in society.

I don’t know about you, but that excites me. As a fellow #girlmom, I can confidently say, it is a great time to be raising daughters.
